Your Materialise Cloud Account
When you use our Services, you provide us with your 3D models (your “Content”). These are yours and the Terms do not give us any rights to Your Content except for those limited rights that are necessary to enable us to offer the Services to you.
Your conduct and content must comply with these Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy. However we are not responsible for the Content you upload via the Services.
Free trial
Upon your creation of an account by filling in some basic information (“Account”), you can use the Services privately with a limitation of 10 free trial uploads which are valid for a 1-year period from the date of registration on the website. Registering for the free trial does not require any billing information and you can start using the Services right away.
Online Packages
Online Purchases
After you have either used your limited free trial uploads or you have reached the validity period of your free trial package, you can extend your access to the Services by purchasing an Online Package.
When clicking through to payment for your Online Package, you will be redirected to the dedicated secured payment web portal of our verified billing partner, Avangate. By purchasing an Online Package, you agree to be bound by Avangate’s terms and conditions, privacy policy and refund policy. For more information on Avangate, see http://www.avangate.com/.
Downgrades
Your Online Package will remain valid until it reaches the 1-year expiration date. For continuing your use of the Services upon having consumed your uploads, you have to purchase a new Online Package.
All Content you have uploaded during your online subscription period will remain private under your account and will not be shared or accessible by third parties.
Changes
We may change the fees of the Online Packages, but we will give you prior notice of these changes via your email address which is linked to your Account.
Materialise Cloud API Accounts
For using the Services directly from your application you can integrate with the API. All API integration requests are handled case-by-case. If you contact us, we will work out a solution by mutual agreement that perfectly meets your needs.
Links to other websites
From our website, you can visit other third party websites by following hyperlinks to these sites. Whilst Materialise strives to provide only links to useful and ethical websites, it has no control over the content and nature of these sites and the links to other websites does not imply a recommendation for all the content found on these websites. Please be also aware that when you leave our website, other sites may have different privacy policies and terms which are beyond our control. Materialise therefore advises users to check these themselves and consult the privacy clause that is compulsory on every website. Without limitation, Materialise is therefore not responsible nor accountable for any hosting, content, rules, website stability and use by you of any third party websites.
Download and print at home
What we do guarantee:
- Except in exceptional cases, that you can download files which have the proper extension to normally print them on regular desktop 3D printers.
What we do not guarantee:
- That it will in any case effectively be possible to print the downloaded model on your 3D printer.
- That the quality of the 3D-printed specimen will be as you expected it to be.
- That your printer will never be damaged by printing a file downloaded from our Services.
3D Repair Service
What we do guarantee:
- That we will not ruin your 3D model.
- That, except in exceptional cases, your 3D model will print smoothly on normal 3D printers at home, after we have repaired your file.
What we do not guarantee:
- That the quality of the 3D-printed specimen will be as you expected it to be.
Limitation of Liability
We strive to provide great Services, but there are certain things that we cannot guarantee.
THE INFORMATION AND CONTENT PROVIDED ON THE SERVICES AND YOUR ACCESS TO THE SERVICES DOES NOT CREATE ANY RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN YOU AND MATERIALISE.
ALL INFORMATION AND CONTENT ON OR OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. YOU HEREBY WAIVE ALL OTHER WARRANTIES RELATING THERETO, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR WARRANTY AGAINST INTERFERENCE OR INFRINGEMENT. MATERIALISE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE USE OF THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR FREE OR THAT ANY ERROR OR DEFECTS WILL BE OR CAN BE CORRECTED. SOME JURISDICTIONS MAY NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, IN WHICH CASE SOME OF THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO ALL USERS.
MATERIALISE SHALL NOT IN ANY EVENT BE LIABLE TO ANY USER OR TO ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS, REVENUES, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES OR FOR LOSS OF INCOME, BARGAIN, REVENUE, CONTRACTS, GOODWILL, USE, ENJOYMENT, TIME, DATA, ELECTRONICALLY TRANSMITTED ORDERS OR OTHER ECONOMIC ADVANTAGE WHATSOEVER (BUT NOT TO THE EXTENT THAT APPLICABLE LAW PROHIBITS LIABILITY EXCLUSIONS OR LIMITATIONS FOR INTENTIONAL TORTS, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF PRODUCT LIABILITY OR OTHER FAULT BASES), NOR FOR ANY SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE OR INCIDENTAL LOSSES, DAMAGES OR EXPENSES DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY RELATING TO THE USE OR MISUSE OF THE SITE, OR THE INFORMATION OR CONTENT, IRRESPECTIVE OF THE BASIS FOR SUCH CLAIM.
Applicable law
These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of Belgium. All disputes will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Leuven.
Severability
If all or any part of one or more of these Terms is or becomes illegal, invalid, unenforceable, or prohibited in any respect under any applicable law or regulation or found to be illegal or unenforceable in whole or in part under any applicable law, or regulation of any jurisdiction or country, or with respect to a certain category of persons, such provision or part shall to that extent, be deemed not to form part of the contract. The legality, validity or enforceability of the remainder of these terms or the remaining parts of the relevant term shall not in any way be affected or impaired thereby (in relation to such jurisdiction or country, or category of persons). The legality, validity or enforceability of such provision under the applicable laws of any other jurisdiction or country or category of persons, shall not in any way be affected or impaired.
If any part of this disclaimer is held to be invalid, the remaining articles will continue to be valid and enforceable.

No waiver
Materialise’s failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of its right to do so later.
